Chaffles are a keto alternative to sandwich bread. They were named within the keto community because they were originally made with almond flour and cheese. They cooked on a mini waffle iron that was the size of a slice of bread. Hence, cheese and waffle equal chaffle. However, this recipe is a cheeseless chaffle, but you can sprinkle cheese on it if you prefer just before closing the lid.
1 egg large 3 tablespoons almond flour 1 tablespoon mayonnaise 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon water
Yes, you can freeze chaffles. Be sure to allow them to cool after cooking. Then place them in a freezer bag, with a piece of parchment paper between each one.
