Instructions
For this recipe, it helps to set out everything before you start. Melted chocolate waits for no one, so having your ingredients measured and in bowls makes the whole process easier. You’ll be making two batches, one green and one red, so you’ll use half of the ingredients for each color.
Gather two large bowls and pour 4 cups of Chex cereal into each. Set aside.
8 cups Corn Chex cereal
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 1/2 cup white chocolate wafers and 1/2 cup peanut butter.
Microwave the bowl on high for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, stirring until smooth.
Mix green food coloring into the bowl until you achieve a Christmas green color.
Pour the green mixture over one bowl of Chex cereal and gently toss to coat.
Sprinkle powdered sugar over the chocolate-coated cereal and toss until well coated (about 1-2 minutes).
Add in 1/2 cup of M&Ms.
Spread the green mixture on wax paper to cool.
Repeat the process for the second bowl using red food coloring.
Pour the red mixture over the other bowl of Chex cereal, coat with powdered sugar. Stir in M&Ms. Spread on wax paper to cool.
Once both mixtures have cooled, combine them in a large container or bowl, mixing the colors together.
