About

Welcome To Intentional Hospitality

Hi, I’m Gina Dickson, the creator behind Intentional Hospitality. I live in Augusta, Georgia, home of the Masters Golf Tournament, and I share easy recipes, practical entertaining ideas, and biblical hospitality encouragement to help you welcome others with confidence.

After 35 years of feeding a large family, hosting gatherings, and making crowd-pleasing meals manageable, I’ve learned that hospitality does not have to be complicated to be meaningful. Here you’ll find relaxed, casual Southern-style recipes and ideas that help make gathering around the table feel easier, warmer, and more joyful.

Hey Y’all I’m Gina

I’m a home cook, recipe creator, writer, photographer, and the voice behind Intentional Hospitality.

My love for cooking grew from real life around my own table, feeding family, welcoming guests, and learning how to make meals that bring people together. Over the years, I’ve cooked for everyday dinners, church gatherings, holiday meals, and special events, always with the same goal in mind: to serve food people enjoy and create a space where they feel truly welcome.

As a mother of six grown children and grandmother to 18 grandchildren, I’ve spent decades learning how to cook in a way that is practical, dependable, and made for sharing. That hands-on experience shapes every recipe and article I publish.

My Experience and Background

My experience comes from years of cooking for a large family, hosting gatherings, and creating meals that work in real homes with real schedules.

I know what it is like to need recipes that are easy to follow, use practical ingredients, and still feel special enough to serve to guests. That is the heart behind Intentional Hospitality.

In addition to recipe development and food writing, I have also written a monthly column for the Medical Examiner in Augusta, Georgia. My work has also been featured in publications including Yahoo Lifestyle Atlas Obscura, SheKnows, Rent and Brit + Co

My areas of focus include:

  • Biblical hospitality

Why Intentional Hospitality Matters to Me

At the heart of Intentional Hospitality is biblical hospitality, the simple practice of welcoming others with a willing heart and an open table. My hope is to help you create meals and moments that reflect God’s love and make people feel seen, cared for, and truly welcome. Romans 12:13 reminds us to “seek to show hospitality.”
