Ingredient Tips For Easter Story Snack Mix Recipe
Here’s a quick overview of the key ingredients for this recipe. For the full list of ingredients and exact measurements, be sure to check the recipe card at the bottom of this post.
- Pretzel sticks: Represent the cross on which Jesus was crucified. Choose thin sticks for the best symbolic shape.
- Craisins: Symbolize Jesus’ blood. Dried cranberries give a vibrant color and slightly tart contrast.
- Round mini vanilla wafers: Represent the stone rolled away from the tomb. Ritz or similar buttery rounds work beautifully.
- Goldfish gram cracker flavor: Remind us that Jesus calls us to be fishers of men. I found cake batter graham cracker goldfish, but you can use plain or colorful varieties for fun! The saltiness goes well with the sweet treats.
- White marshmallows: These represent how Jesus washed away our sins. It’s best to use mini-sized marshmallows.
- Colorful sweet treats: I used pastel M&Ms; however, if you prefer, use jelly beans or chocolate eggs. Symbolize the joy and sweetness of God’s goodness. Choose pastel colors for a festive look.

Biblical Hospitality Reflection
Easter is the perfect time to turn your table into a space for ministry.
After church on Easter Sunday, your table becomes more than a spot to gather; it’s a ministry opportunity. Serving this Easter story snack mix is a simple, heartfelt way to invite guests into a deeper conversation about Christ’s love. As you pass the bowl around, share the symbolism behind each ingredient. Let your home echo the joy of resurrection morning. Luke 24:30-31 reminds us: “When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him.”
May your hospitality open hearts and make room for Jesus at your table this Easter.
