Add the Oreos to a food processor and pulse until they are fine crumbs. (If your food processor is too small, do this in batches.)
20 Oreos
Pour in the melted butter and pulse a few more times until the crumbs are evenly coated.
5 tablespoons butter
Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Put it in the fridge to chill while you make the peanut butter filling.
Make the Peanut Butter Filling
In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the cream cheese, 3/4 cup powdered sugar, and peanut butter together until the mixture is light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
8 ounces cream cheese, 3/4 cup powdered sugar, 1 cup creamy peanut butter
In a separate bowl, use an electric mixer with the whisk attachment to beat the heavy whipping cream until it becomes thick and light. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then continue whipping until stiff peaks form (when the cream holds its shape when you lift the beaters).
1 cup heavy whipping cream, 3 tablespoons powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Gently fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture until fully combined and smooth. Be careful not to overmix to keep the filling light and airy.
Pour the filling into the prepared Oreo crust.
Refrigerate the pie for 3 to 4 hours so that the filling will get firm.
Decorate the Pie
Melt peanut butter and chocolate in separate bowls using a microwave.
1/4 cup peanut butter, 1/4 chocolate chips
Using a spoon drizzle the melted chocolate and peanu
Decorate the top with mini Reese's cups and peanuts.
1/2 cup Mini Reese’s cups
Serve the pie cold. You can also serve the pie frozen. However, I suggest you slice the pie before freezing. Once frozen it is very hard to cut the crust.
Notes
Storing LeftoversYou can store the chocolate peanut butter pie leftovers in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. Make sure to store the pie in an airtight container or cover with aluminum foil or plastic wrap securely. To extend its life up to 1-2 months, store the pie in an airtight container in individual pieces in the freezer. When it's time to eat, you can serve the pie frozen. If you don't want to eat a frozen pie, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes or thaw overnight in the refrigerator.
