Homemade dill dip takes me back to my childhood memories. I had an aunt who lived in Kokomo, and she knew that this dip was one of my favorite snacks.
Whenever we went to visit her, she always had the ingredients ready to make a bowl full of it. My favorite way to scoop it was salty Syfert’s potato chips.
My Go To 2-Minute Yogurt Dill Dip Recipe
Ok, the best part about this dip is it only takes 2 minutes to whip together, and it’s super vertical. Enjoy it with carrots, celery, and bell pepper sticks. It’s the perfect quick appetizer when friends drop in for a visit.
This Greek yogurt dill dip recipe is very versatile. In addition to being a dip, you can use it with any recipe that calls for tzatziki. Here are some ideas for serving dill dip besides as a dip.
- I love a big scoop of this dill dip on my crispy-skinned baked potatos.
- Drizzle over roasted vegetables.
- Cucumber salad: After making the dip, mix in some sliced cucumbers and onions for a fresh salad.
- Spread on sandwiches or wraps.

Your Grocery List
- Yogurt: You can purchase Greek yogurt or plain, unflavored yogurt. If you prefer a creamier flavor, you could also substitute the yogurt for sour cream.
- Mayonnaise: When making this dip, it’s best to use a good quality mayonnaise rather than the sweeter taste of a salad spread like Miracle Whip.
- Dill: I suggest using dried dill instead of fresh dill because it will infuse the creamy dip more easily.

How To Make Dill Dip
Mix It All Up
Add all the ingredents into a medium bowl. Whisk until all the ingredents are well combined.
Let It Chill
Cover and chill for 30 minutes. This gives time for the dried onions and dill to soften.
Leftovers
Leftover veggie dill dip can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. It’s not recommended to freeze the dip as the texture and consistency of the yogurt may change.
