If you like cooking with coffee, be sure and try my BBQ Coffee Dry Rub recipe. BBQ Coffee Dry Rub is the perfect rub for kicking up your chicken, beef, or pork. It infuses your taste buds with a sweet slightly nutty flavor and can be kicked up with some heat if you double up on the cayenne pepper.
Variations
- If you are not a big cumin fan, you can back off the seasoning to only 2 tablespoons.
- Try switching out some of the chili powder for mace. Mace is perfect where nutmeg would be too heavy. It pairs well with the orange in this recipe.

I’m going to assume the cumin is supposed to be Ground cumin, correct?
Yes, Kelsey you are correct. Hope you enjoy the BBQ sauce.
How many racks does the 1x recipe make?
The recipe yields 5 cups. I would figure a cup per rack. However, if you like it really sauce and want to add some on them at the table I would suggest 3 large racks.
I think it’s a tad bit cumin heavy I did 2 T. Instead and swapped mace for chili powder. It’s a really awesome sauce! Thank you!
Great ideas! I will put that in the notes for variations. Thanks
