Ingredients Needed To Make Pork Sliders

Ingredients needed to make the best pork sliders

Pulled Pork: For this slider recipe you can use leftover pulled pork, or I will teach you how to make a super tender slow cooker recipe for pulled pork using pork shoulder or pork butt.

The recipe takes under 10 minutes of prep to cooking time. You can make your pulled pork the day before or make it and freeze it so you are always ready to make these yummy sliders.

A large plate of pulled pork and a cutting board with pulled pork being shredded with two forks
  • Brown Butter Topping: Butter, brown sugar, chili powder, and garlic salt.
  • Bread: I like to use sweet Hawaiian rolls, but if you prefer a less sweet bread, that would work fine also.
  • Cheese: I use Havarti; however, I also use sliced pepper jack if I want a spicy pulled pork slider. It’s up to you.
  • Sauce: Mayonnaise and your favorite BBQ sauce.

How To Make The Best Pulled Pork Sliders

  1. Let’s start by preparing the sandwich sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise and BBQ sauce until well blended. Set aside.
  2. Now, grab a large bread knife and slice a package of Hawaiian rolls in half. Place the bottom half of the rolls into a large casserole dish or on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Using a large spatula, generously spread the sandwich sauce on both sides of the cut bread, making sure to cover it evenly.
  1. Add a thick layer of pulled pork over the bottom half of the bread, being sure to cover completely.
  2.  Top the shredded pork with slices of cheese.
  3. Place the tops of the buns onto the layer of meat and cheese.
  1. Now, let’s make the brown butter topping. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, remove it from the heat and add chili powder, garlic salt, and brown sugar. Whisk the ingredients together until well blended.
  2. Using a silicone brush, spread the brown butter sauce evenly over the tops of the buns.
  3. Lightly cover the pan with foil and bake in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until the cheese begins to melt. Remove the foil for the last 2 minutes of baking time.
  4. Once done, take the pork sliders out of the oven and let them cool for 2 minutes. Then, slice and serve. Enjoy your delicious sliders!
