Rinse and drain chickpeas, then pat them dry thoroughly.

  • 1 cup chickpeas, canned, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

Prepare Chickpeas

  • Drain and rinse chickpeas under cool water. Spread them out on paper towels or a clean kitchen towel and pat them dry. Removing as much moisture as possible helps them get crispier.
    1 cup chickpeas

Season Chickpeas

  • In a small bowl, mix cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and paprika.
    1/2 teaspoon cumin, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • Place dried chickpeas in a medium bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and toss gently to coat.

  • Sprinkle in half of the seasoning mix, toss, then add the rest and toss again to coat evenly.

Air Fry

  • Pour the chickpeas into the air fryer basket in a single layer.

  • Return the basket and cook for 5 more minutes, or until crispy and golden.
  • While the roasted chickpeas are warm, taste and add salt if needed.
